Euroopan komission aluepolitiikan pääosasto (DG REGIO) järjestää yhdessä Regional Studies Associationin kanssa "varhaisen uran tutkimuskilpailun (early career research competition)" nuorille aluepolitiikan tutkijoille. Kilpailun tarkoituksena on antaa näkyvyyttä aluepolitiikan tutkimukselle ja rohkaista nuoria tutkijoita. Osanoton ehdot ovat seuraavat:
* kilpailuun osallistuvan täytyy olla tohtoriopiskelija tai hänen on täytynyt suorittaa tohtorin tutkinto enintään 3 vuotta sitten
* osallistujan täytyy lähettää cv:nsä ja lyhyt yhteenveto tutkimustyöstään (enintään 1000 sanaa) 30.4 mennessä Regional Studies Associationille (s-posti: info@rsa-ls.ac.uk)
* osallistujan tulee tehdä posteri ja olla valmis pitämään 5-7 minuutin esitys aiheestaan
Kilpailun voittajalle on luvassa 1000 euron palkinto. Kilpailussa parhaiten menestyneet kutsutaan Open Days -viikon aikana Brysseliin esittelemään posterinsa.

Dear all,
We would like to inform you that this year during the OPEN DAYS, the Directorate-General for Regional Policy of the European Commission, in partnership with the Regional Studies Association, is organising an Early Career Research Competition for young researchers in the field of European regional policy. Finalists will be invited to present their research during the OPEN DAYS (4 to 7 October 2010) and a cash prize of €1000 will be awarded to the winner.
